Warlock builds patch 4.2

A key variation is to swap one point in [ Pandemic ] for a point in [ Fel Synergy ]. This build provides high burst damage, high rate of attack, and insane AoE. The filler is [ Incinerate ].

Use [ Empowered Imp ] procs immediately, and use [ Bane of Havoc ] for two-target situations. Wowpedia Explore. Main Page All Pages. World of Warcraft. Classic Vanilla The Frozen Throne Reforged. That is changing with U51 but even just for constructs and undead it's worth taking over toughness. Warlock has solid prr and mrr without deific warding.

Arcane pulse isn't good for every caster, but warlock is an exception because dps is so low. I would be interested in seeing how long it takes to beat down bruntsmash in R10 - would be great if you can stream that some time. Originally Posted by rabidfox. Originally Posted by slarden. There is also the worry of improved evasion being really prevalent in sharn content that just doing half damage all the time seems a little sketchy. I haven't tried sonic for these reasons since it seems like a reasonable loss. Also not really having a strong energy burst or dragon breath hurts too. Do you have a link to that somewhere?

I don't have any force spellpower or crit, so I would be hesitant to use arcane pulse. I'd be curious to see. Last edited by slarden; at AM. Last edited by Maelodic; at PM. Originally Posted by abysslegion.

Powerful Friends and Radiant Light aren't required but extremely helpful. When Bungie implemented unique ability cooldowns with the 30th Anniversary Pack , they gave each grenade a unique cooldown. Dawnblade Warlocks saw a massive cooldown reduction to Firebolt Grenades, allowing them to be used as a catalyst for activating neutral game buffs like Heat Rising. This build focuses on reducing your grenade cooldown as much as possible to give you access to a pocket overshield that affects you and any nearby teammates.

You'll have incredibly fast ability cooldowns, a counter to Stasis with Well of Radiance, and you'll be helping your team while using this build. If you have multiple members of your team running this build, it'll be incredibly difficult to lose. Attunement of Grace Middle Tree Dawnblade has a mechanic where you can overcharge your grenade to heal yourself and nearby allies, granting an ability regen buff called Benevolent Dawn.

We'll be using Firebolt Grenades to achieve the shortest cooldown possible to maximize our uptime with this overshield and Benevolent Dawn. Since no Exotic is needed to enable this synergy, use any Exotic you like.

Neutral game powerhouses like Transversive Steps and Ophidian Aspects are highly recommended if you want to enhance your Warlock's neutral game. If you want to get a little more experimental, Boots of the Assembler and Eye of Another World pair nicely with this build. Any weapon works here. Use whatever you're most comfortable with or what's meta. Discipline is mandatory. Reaching Discipline will reduce the cooldown of your Firebolt Grenade to 24 seconds, allowing you to deploy an overshield for nearly every gunfight.

Focus on Recovery afterward. These mods focus on giving your grenade back as fast as possible. Double Bomber will give a large chunk of grenade energy back whenever you cast your Rift. Should an ally stand in your Rift, you'll gain Benevolent Dawn. This will drastically improve your ability regen speeds. Beyond that, use whatever is comfortable or considered mandatory to you.

Charge Harvester allows any kill or assist—even from abilities—the chance of giving you a Charged with Light stack. Movement separates good players from great players in Destiny's Crucible.

Closing the gap and moving with confidence are critical to winning against more skilled teams, hence why virtually every Warlock in the Crucible plays top tree Dawnblade. This build utilizes Charged with Light mods and popular Warlock Exotics to make you the fastest, deadliest killing machine you can be. If you want to focus more on countering enemies, use the Radiant Chaos build discussed earlier.

If you want to become an all-out aggressive Guardian that can't be touched, this is the build for you. Attunement of Sky Top Tree Dawnblade grants mid-air dashes, perfect in-air accuracy with the Heat Rising buff, and you get a decent Super in the form of Daybreak. Celestial Fire is arguably the best melee ability for Warlocks as well, damaging targets around cover and from quite a distance.

Transversive Steps and Ophidian Aspects are the best neutral-game Exotics you can rock for this build. Most argue that Tranversive Steps are better due to their increased sprint speed and auto-reloading properties. Their handling and reload boost are hard to top. Karnstein Armlets are also an excellent choice if you're OK with sacrificing general buffs for survivability. One more Exotic we want to mention is Starfire Protocol.

This chest piece grants a second Fusion Grenade. Fusions aren't anything to write home about, but this allows you to activate Heat Rising two times in a row, allowing for excellent hang time with a Sniper Rifle or other long-range weapons. The outplay potential with this Exotic is too good not to mention.

Any weapon can work with this build, but there are a few that get a plethora of benefits as a Dawnblade. In essence, if it's meta, it's even better on this build due to Heat Rising. Intellect is the most important stat in competitive PvP.

The sooner you cast your Super, the sooner your teammates get theirs. Recovery and Discipline are also great stats to maximize.

If you can get all three stats to , you'll be tough to kill. This is a standard Combat Style configuration for PvP. Powerful Friends and Radiant Light give two massive stat buffs and allow allies to become Charged with Light without any input. Bottom Tree Stormcaller got a massive buff in Season of the Lost. Landfall hits like a truck, Arc Soul is stronger than ever, and the movement speed buff from Electrostatic Surge feels incredible.

This build takes all of those elements to the extreme. Through the use of Elemental Wells and the new Stasis armor mods, you can obtain your Super in a matter of seconds, allowing you to effectively spam Landfall.

With an Arc Soul at your side and infinite Rifts, you'll be able to vaporize every enemy into atoms with little issue. If you land all five projectiles on top of an enemy, your Super can easily one-shot most enemies and build up stacks of Stormcaller's Brace.

Landfall can build up stacks of this buff right when your Super starts, giving you a kickstart to your damage stacks. Riskrunner gives some much-needed damage resistance and add-clear when you aren't spamming your Super. It can also spawn Elemental Wells if Elemental Armamants is equipped. You can force Arc Conductor to proc by throwing a Pulse Grenade at your feet. Get your Recovery to to assist with placing Healing Rifts.

Discipline and Strength are equally important. The most important mod is Melee Kickstart on your gloves. Grabbing an Elemental Well will also set your Intellect to , making your Super recharge a little bit faster. For harder content, we recommend using Grenade Wellmaker instead of Melee Wellmaker.

Inspired by Ehroar's 30th Anniversary Stasis build , this build focuses on turning the Shadebinder subclass into the strongest add-clearing subclass the Warlock has access to.

By utilizing the Headstone perk and various Stasis Aspects and Fragments, your Warlock will be able to clear entire rooms of enemies with a few bullets.

You'll have great crowd control, short Super and grenade cooldowns, and two constant damage buffs. Shadebinder will be your subclass. We'll cover Aspects and Fragments in the next section. For your grenade, run Glacier Grenades. Your grenade cooldown will be so short that its base cooldown won't matter, and the buff to Glacier explosions in the 30th Anniversary Pack turned these grenades into the ultimate add-clear tool. Mantle of Battle Harmony is better than Verity's Brow in our eyes for this particular build.

Whisper of Fissures and Elemental Wells already give us low ability cooldowns, so this build needs Super regen and damage. Eyasluna is hands-down the best weapon for this build. It can roll with Headstone and Unrelenting simultaneously, healing you whenever Headstone kills someone. You don't need Unrelenting for Eyasluna to be good; it just needs Headstone. Some good alternatives include Vulpecula , Peacebond , and Reed's Regret.

We especially recommend you use Reed's Regret if you have it, as the weapon's DPS skyrockets when all of your buffs are active. Iceflare Bolts is mandatory. This causes Headstone to proliferate its freezing effect if it freezes a target—something that happens quite frequently. Glacial Harvest is a tough sell due to its internal cooldown, but it's your best alternative to Bleak Watcher Frostpulse is ill-suited for endgame content.

If you want to spam Bleak Watcher turrets instead, see our Bleak Flame build at the end of this guide. It's more tailored towards that type of play style. Whisper of Fissures and Shards are no-brainers here. Fissures will make Headstone crystals deal significantly more damage over a wider area, and Shards will help recharge your Glacier Greandes quickly.

Rending might seem like an odd pick, but this allows Eyasluna and other Kinetic weapons to break Stasis crystals with a single bullet. Without it, this build feels much clunkier.
